Lahore Qalandars LQ is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which plays in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Playground of the team is Gaddafi Stadium. It represents the city of Lahore from the league. The team is bought by Qatar Lubricants Company Limited (QALCO). The Lahore franchise was first started on 1-2 December 2015 by owner Fawad Rana. The”Q” at the Qalandars was connected to represent both Qatar and QALCO and Rana added which the name was chosen to underline the Sufi culture of Lahore –“Qalandar” is now just a frequent term found in Pakistan to describe Sufi mystics or saints whose shrines draw millions of devotees and tourists.

The team’s emblem features a Sufi performing the famous Sufi whirling with three stumps to his right and a cricket match as the foundation, also is meant to represent the Sufi civilization of the Spot The Qalandars’ kit colors in the first season was black and red Qalandars launched new kits ahead of the second season, with the reddish turning green at a grand function. On December 2015, the PCB introduced five franchises’ proprietors. The Lahore franchise has been sold into the Qatar Lubricants Company to get US$25.1 million for a period of ten decades, making it the second most expensive team of PSL (following the Karachi Kings, that sold for US$26-million ). The anthem of the team in 2016 season was”Dama Dam Mast” published in two versions; just one by Asrar along with other by Nabeel Shaukat Ali. The official song for 2017 season”Dama Dam Mast Lahore Qalandars” was filmed by Shafqat Amanat Ali. Famous Film star Shaan is team’s newest ambassador for 2017 season. Al Karam, a fabric mill operating out of Karachi, was announced as another sponsor and the media partner of this team is Geo Tv.

Royal Palm is the team’s hospitality partner.  The group is currently captained by Mohammad Hafeez and coached by Aqib Javed, also a former Pakistani cricketer. Fakhar Zaman could be the team’s vice-captain. Lahore Qalandars has been the 2nd franchise and has been one of those couple teams sold to a worldwide firm. Fawad Rana is the owner of the team. Umar Akmal could be your major run-scorer and Sunil Narine is the leading wicket-taker for both side. In 20-16, under Players Development Program (PDP), the Lahore Qalandars franchise organized “Jazz Growing Stars” trials across eight Indonesian cities, to determine impending childhood gift. Short-listed players will happen to be Australia and train together with Sydney Thunder, as the top two performers would find the ability to play for the Qalandars.
